Ray and I have owned, bred, shown & trained Dobermanns for nearly 30 years. We are originally from West Yorkshire England. In 1988 we emigrated to Australia with our 3 children Angela, William and Daniel. It was soooooooo good to see the sunshine!!
Our love for the Dobermann breed developed in England when we first married. I was born into a family with dogs being a major part of our life. My grandmother bred mini Poodles and my parents bred & showed Collie roughs (Lassie) under the Corlis prefix.
After getting our feet on the ground we purchased our first Australian Dobermann puppy; "Erandobe Elita Dawn" (Mia), and began showing her. Ten months later we bought our second Dobermann; "Ch Jenson Shastina"(Taz). She was my first Champion. From these two girls "Cozdobe Dobermanns" began.
CH Jenson Shastina did her fair share of winning. Some of her wins included winning "puppy of the day" at the 'Sydney Royal Easter Show' followed by 'Best of Breed' two years in a row. She has Multi BISS wins as well as being a favourite at the all breeds shows.
"Erandobe Elita Dawn", although not a big winner in the show ring, certainly produced wonderful offspring with three champions from her first litter. She is the dam of our first Grand Champion and our first R.O.M.
As our Dobe family grew, we realised the need for more space and purchased a 32 acre property 60km south west of Sydney.
Ray and I spend many hours planning and researching pedigrees and bloodlines to enhance our lines. We health test all our dogs before breeding to try and eliminate as many problems as we can. Our dogs are raised on a natural diet. We believe that many diseases and skeletal problems are a result of bad nutrition.
